About Me
Simply put, Mine Friends is a virtual community of people which has agreed to discuss, learn about, and share experience with the issues of landmines. Some of these people have lived through the experience, others are working on the problem, and all are eager to get to know one another as people.
This site is comprised of a couple of key pieces. Each of these can be found in the tabs at the top of this page. The primary area that I'd urge you to visit is the Let's Talk section. This is where most of the interactions will take place. You'll be able to see the different communites involved, and also find an individual pen pal that you can get to know.
The News section will follow the progress and victories of our various members and communities. Finally we'll try to provide you with some interesting links to further reading. If you'd like to get involved, let me suggest that you post a bit about your community, and make a post in the Pen Pal forum so that folks can get to know you.
